Terralingua at 25
A Celebration of Biocultural Diversity

Volume 10, Summer/Winter 2021 in the northern hemisphere

It’s 2021, marking 25 years since Terralingua came into existence in 1996—a quarter of a century of raising awareness of the vital value of biocultural diversity and fostering protection of the world’s languages, cultures, and all the species with which we share this earth!

For nearly a decade now, Langscape Magazine has been the main vehicle for spreading our message about biocultural diversity through written and visual stories, poetry, and art. To celebrate our 25th birthday, this year’s special anniversary issue will feature stories we’ve published over the past years — memorable stories chosen by our team and by readers, but republished in a new context.

This new “collage” will give you both an in-depth sense of the idea of biocultural diversity and a vivid impression of the amazing variety of ways in which that diversity manifests itself around the globe.

Over the next several months, we’ll be posting these stories regularly online, culminating with the publication of a beautifully designed magazine in the fall. Check this space often — we’ll be giving you food for thought, a feast for the eyes, and some good fun too!

Langscape stories are free, so why buy or subscribe?

Our goal at Langscape Magazine is to provide a platform for Indigenous Peoples and their allies to tell their stories. That’s why we make EVERY story in each issue available online for free. But when you order a beautiful print copy or PDF, or subscribe, you’re supporting that goal, too. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your support.
